We love to travel in “small group, off peak, unique trips” so we created this route to allow you to experience the true beauty of the touristic landmarks without the crowd in sight. We can inform of the Do’s and Dont’s, and look out for everyone safety more effectively when it’s a smaller group. We also opt to use the local villagers long-tailed boat as a transport, to give them extra income while preserving their original occupation as a fisherman.
3:50 – 4:15 AM is our pick-up time depending on the location of your hotel; our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. A comfortable air-conditioned van will take you to a foothill where you will start to trek up to the Samed Nangshe viewpoint (approximately 15-20 minute walk on slope). A light snack box and hot coffee/tea will be served over stunning sunrise in Phangnga bay. Soak up the morning sun until everyone’s happy and ready, before heading back down to the van.
After a short ride (5-7 minutes), you will arrive at the local pier and embark on a private longtail boat with our local villager captain. First stop will be the famous Koh Tapu aka James Bond island. At this time of the day, you won’t see many tourists, if any at all. Spend a good 30-40 minutes walking around the dual battle scene as seen in “James Bond: The Man with the Golden Gun”
Next you will be off to the explore several islands and caves, such as sea-canoeing into hidden lagoons at Koh Hong, sighting some odd-looking limestone, stalagmites, stalactites, sleepy bats, crystal-like rock formations and never-ending mangrove sights. Prepare to duck, walk, climb and be astonished by the work of Mother Nature throughout the journey.
Visit the last highlight – the hidden 5,000 year-old shell cemetery nestled around the rock and mangrove forest where an ancient treasure map is painted on a rock wall. You can try to solve the riddle of this unclaimed treasure.
Head back to the pier and hop on the minivan to the restaurant on a hilltop where you will be having lunch. No boring buffet, we like our lunch to be freshly cooked. And after such adventure, how about a nice cold beer on a balcony with a view? One complimentary beer or soft drink of your choice.
Finally, it’s time to conclude our memorable journey and head back safely to your hotel around 2 – 2:30 PM.
